Use

In this IMG activity, you define the input and output semantics of key figures. Key figures can be grades or credits. For each of the input or output semantics entries you create, you must define the return value structure.

When you calculate key figures, you need input values which comply with specific semantic rules. For example if you want to calculate an average grade as a key figure, you must enter grades as the input parameter. The output of this key figure is a grade as well.

Key figures are used in module appraisal. In this application, you must enter key figures so that the system can calculate grades for an appraisal type within an appraisal template. The key figures which you calculate in this application must have the semantics NOTE.

Key figures can also be used to define auxiliary conditions. Auxiliary conditions are used in requirement catalogs and evaluated when you run audits. The following input semantics are provided for key figures which are used in audits:

  • SUBA - Number of subrequirements in a requirement
  • SUBN - Number of unfulfilled subrequirements in a requirement
  • SUBY - Number of fulfilled subrequirements in a requirement
  • SUBP - Number of subrequirements in process in a requirement

You could use these input semantics to create the following key figure:
3 of 5 subrequirements of a requirement must be fulfilled.

Standard settings

The SAP standard system contains the following input and output semantics:

I/O semantics    Return value

NOTE    Grade with scale

SUBA    Value with unit

SUBN    Value with unit

SUBP    Value with unit

SUBY    Value with unit

WERT    Value with unit

Activities

  1. Enter a four-character alphanumeric key and a description for each required input or output semantics.
  2. Define the return value structure for each input or output semantics.
