Use

In this IMG activity, you can define that address determination for correspondence be based on specific dates or time limits.

First, you assign a time limit sequence to the correspondence type. Then, you define the address type for each time limit within this time limit sequence.

Requirements

You have defined the required address types in the previous IMG activity.

You have defined the required time limits and assigned them to a time limit sequence. You can find the required IMG activities in Customizing for Campus Management under Campus Management Master Data -> Academic Calendars:

• Set Up Time Limit Sequences and Assign Time Limits

You have activated function module HRIQ_EVENT_0773 (Correspondence - Address Determination (Dynamic Call)) as an installation-specific function module for callup point 0773 (Correspondence: Define Address Type). You make this setting in Customizing for Campus Management under Campus Management Processes -> General Settings -> Correspondence -> Technical Settings -> Define Customer-Specific Function Modules.

Standard settings

Activities

1. Assign a time limit sequence to the correspondence type in which you want address determination to be dependent on specific dates or time limits.
2. Select the correspondence type and choose the node Assign Address Type to Time Limit.
3. Assign the required time limits to the address type.

Example

In the IMG activity Configure Address Determination, you have defined the student's semester address in correspondence type CM01 (Student Correspondence in Campus Management).

During the semester holidays, you want correspondence to be sent to the student's home address.

You therefore assign the address type for home address to the time limit you have defined for semester holidays .
