Use
In this IMG activity, you define number range intervals for rule modules as follows:
- Rule modules in the VSR rules structure:
The rule modules that you create in the VSR rules structure with transaction PIQRULEMODULE belong to the external number range.
- Rule modules that are used as subrequirements:
Rule modules or subrequirements which are created in a requirement catalog (transaction PIQRLCATM) or during subrequirement editing (transaction PIQAUDSM) belong to the internal number range.
Note
If you created rule modules in the VSR rules structure before defining the external number range, you must define the external number range interval so that you can incorporate the existing VSR rule modules.
Standard settings
Activities
- Define an external number range for the rule modules in the VSR rules structure. Make sure that the existing VSR rule modules fit into this number range interval.
- Define an internal number range for the rule modules used for subrequirements.
Example
Further notes
The number range intervals are not connected to automatic change recording in Customizing. Any changes you make in number range interval editing have to be transported manually.
On the Maintain Number Range Interval screen, choose Interval -> Transport. Note the information the system displays when you transport the number range intervals.
