Use

In this IMG activity, you define the (abstract) requirements you need to create your requirement patterns. Requirements are independent elements of a requirement pattern.

You can use requirement patterns to map a specific set of academic requirements to be completed by students. Requirement patterns serve as templates for individual requirement profiles.

The individual requirement profile used for an audit usually consists of several independent areas, such as general university requirements and specific program requirements. You can map these areas in the system by assigning them different requirements.

Requirements

You must define and implement the requirement selection you want to assign to each requirement. You make this setting in the IMG activities:

Standard settings

The standard system contains the following requirements:

  • 0001 - General University Requirements
  • 0002 - Special University Requirements
  • 0003 - Program Requirements
  • 0004 - Academic Specialization Requirements

These four requirements are assigned the requirement category subrequirement.

Activities

  1. Enter a four-digit numeric key and a description for each requirement you create.
  2. Assign each requirement a requirement category.
  3. If you assign a requirement the requirement category subrequirement, you must also assign it a requirement selection or an evaluation path.

    The system then uses the assigned object to determine the actual requirements for an audit.

  4. Specify whether the audit result should be saved for each requirement.
