Use
In this IMG activity, you determine which evaluation path the system uses as the default for the academic calendar. Here, you can also define that the system evaluate only the academic calendar which is assigned to the top organizational unit (see also IMG activity Define Top Organizational Unit).
The system always uses the default evaluation path to find academic calendar objects if no specific evaluation path is assigned to a predefined callup point, and if it does not have to evaluate only the academic calendar assigned to the top organizational unit.
You can assign a different evaluation path to certain callup points. You make this setting in the next IMG activity Define Evaluation Paths for Specific Callup Points.
If you specify that the system evaluate only the academic calendar of the top organizational unit, the system will ignore the default evaluation path and any evaluation paths assigned to the callup points. You should use this setting only if all of your university's dates are maintained in one academic calendar. This setting will then enhance your system's performance.
Standard settings
The Campus Management system contains the default evaluation path PIQCASTD. This default evaluation path covers all standard requirements of the academic calendar.
Activities
- Check the default evaluation path specified in for the group ACADCAL and setting DEFWEGID.
- Enter a value for the group ACADCAL and setting TOPCAONLY after determining which of the following values suits your needs:
- Value X: The system evaluates only the academic calendar assigned to the top organizational unit.
- Value ' ' (initial value): The system uses (as described above) the default evaluation path or the evaluation paths defined for specific callup points.
