Use
In this IMG activity, you define a separate RFC destination with a technical user for the automatic creation and update function.
The RFC destination with a technical user is required for authorization purposes. Users who are authorized to create and change student master data are normally not authorized to create and change student account data. Because automatic creation and update automatically runs in the background when you edit master data, you need an authorization for account data. This authorization is granted by means of a technical user with the authorization to create and change student account data.
The RFC destination must therefore contain the logon data of the technical user.
Recommendation
We recommend that you do not enter a target system or client for this RFC connection. Leave these fields empty. This way data exchange will only take place within the system and current client, and you do not have to perform the IMG activity Set RFC Destination for Automatic Creation and Update again when you copy the client.
Requirements
You have created a technical user with the role SAP_CM_ACCOUNT_DATA_UPDATE.
Activities
- Choose Create.
The RFC Destination screen appears.
- Enter a name up to 20 characters in length for the RFC destination.
- Choose connection type 3 (connection to ABAP system).
- On the Logon/Security tab page, enter the logon data for the technical user.
