In this activity, you maintain the contract object types that are used in all student contract accounts.
Contract objects subdivide a contract account into smaller elements and provide control information for payment transactions and correspondence. When you create a student and the associated student account, the system automatically creates the contract objects that belong to the selected contract object type. You can change the contract object attributes or create new contract objects whenever required.
Example
You want to distinguish between the different elements of a student contract account, namely tuition fees, contributions, rental payments, other receipts/expenditures, and output these individually in the account balance display.

You can reduce the amount of work involved in student administration by allowing the system to create the account objects for student contract accounts automatically.
Activities
- Choose New entries.
- Create the contract object types you want to use in all student contract accounts.
- Set the indicator Mandatory for the contract object types you require for student accounts.
- Choose Save.
