In this IMG activity, you define student fee categories. You require fee categories in cases where the student groups or other student categories do not allow you to adequately map your pricing procedures.
You can assign fee categories to students on the Fee Calculation Data tab page in master data maintenance.
You can use the defined fee categories in the condition tables. For more information, see the IMG under Campus Management -> Student Accounting -> Fees -> Pricing -> Pricing Procedures -> Define Condition Tables.
The system derives the fee calculation procedure it uses to calculate specific fees from the fee category and other parameters. You can define how the system should derive the fee calculation procedure in Customizing for Student Accounting under Fees -> Pricing -> Fee Calculation Procedures -> Define Fee Calculation Procedures.
Examples
Possible fee categories are:
- Domestic students
- Foreign students
- Students of a domestic partner university
- Students of a foreign partner university
