In this IMG activity, you define alternative assessment methods for modules. You require these assessment methods when you perform the follow-up activities for students who only audit modules and are therefore not given grades or credits for these.

For each assessment method you can specify:

  • Whether or not grades should be assigned, or if student work should be should be evaluated as "passed or failed"
  • Whether or not credits should be assigned
  • Whether or not the assigned credits should be taken into account in performance index calculation. (Note: The system takes this entry into account only if you have set a filter which excludes non-applicable credits from performance index calculation.)

Example

You want to assign credits but not grades for the modules that auditors take. You map this in the system by defining an alternative assessment method and selecting No Grade.

Auditors can therefore be assigned credits but not grades in the module follow-up process.

Activities

  1. Enter a three-character alphanumeric key and a description for each alternative assessment method you require.
  2. Select No Grade to specify that grades should not be assigned in the alternative assessment method.
  3. Select No Credit to specify that credits should not be assigned in the alternative assessment method.
  4. Select No Index if the assigned credits should not be taken into account in performance index calculation.
