In this IMG activity, you assign calculation points to the average calculations you have implemented.

You also define the scales the system should use when it displays or calculates average grades. You can use an unassigned Customizing parameter (ECC) to transfer control information to the BAdI: Average Grade Calculation.

You must create a new entry for each required combination of calculation point and average grade calculation.

Note

You may only use average grades for external academic work. For all other academic work, you must use performance indices.

Example

Average grades are displayed on the Transcripts screen.

The field of this screen is a calculation point. This calculation point is assigned the average grade calculation average based on grades in all courses.

Requirements

You have implemented the required average grade calculations in the previous IMG activity (BAdI: Average Grade Calculation).

Activities

  1. In the BPID field, choose the calculation point you want to combine with an average grade calculation.
  2. In the Start and End fields, enter the validity period of the calculation point and average grade calculation combination.
  3. In the Avg. grade field, choose the average grade calculation you want to assign to the calculation point.
  4. In the Display scale field, choose the scale on which you want to display the average grade.
  5. In the Calculation scale field, enter the scale which you want to use for average grade calculation.
  6. In the ECC parameter field, enter the parameter to be evaluated by the BAdI you implemented for average grade calculation.
