In this activity, you define the privacy levels for student and applicant data. The data privacy levels you define here appear as possible entries on the Additional Data tab page. Administrators can choose from these entries when processing student data.

In this activity, you also assign the data privacy warnings to the data privacy levels you have defined. The system displays the relevant data privacy warning in a dialog box when a user attempts to display student and applicant data that has been designated as private.

You must create the required dialog texts for data privacy warnings before you can assign the warnings to data privacy levels.

Activities

  1. Enter an up to two-character alphanumeric key and a descriptive text for each required data privacy level.
  2. If you want the system to display a data privacy warning for a particular data privacy level, proceed as follows:
    1. Set the indicator Privacy warning.

      The system displays the fields dialog title and dialog text ID.

    2. Enter the title of the dialog box.
    3. In the field Dialog text ID, enter the technical name of the dialog text that should appear in the dialog box.
      4. You can display the assigned dialog text in a dialog box by choosing Display text. You can access document maintenance (transaction SE61) where you can create and edit dialog texts by choosing Edit text.
