In this activity, you create the module group categories you require for your module group combinations.

You must enter a four-character alphanumeric key and a descriptive text for each module group category you create.

In addition, you can specify whether a module group category can be selected as an academic specialization.

Example

You set up the module group category Major and assign the module groups Economics and Computer Science to this module group category.

Activities

To create module group categories, proceed as follows:

  1. Choose New entries.
  2. In the field Module group category, enter a four-character alphanumeric key for each module group category you want to create.
  3. In the field Module group category name, enter a descriptive text for each module group category.
  4. Set the indicator Specialization for module group categories that can be chosen as an academic specialization. Do not set this indicator for module group categories that are used only to combine module groups and cannot be chosen as academic specializations.
  5. In the field Sort seq., enter a sort sequence.
  6. When you have made all the required entries, choose Save.
