In this IMG activity, you make the settings for due date schedule derivation in fee calculation per contract object type. Due date schedules can be assigned to the following objects:

Object    Tab page

Contract account    Correspondence

Contract object    Correspondence

Program (SC)    Fee data

Module (SM)    Fee data

Event package (SE)    Event package data

Note: A contract account must have a due date schedule. You must therefore enter a due date schedule for every contract account in the system. The due date schedule is an optional entry for the contract objects program, module, and event package.

Which due date schedule the system uses for each contract object type depends on the following settings and factors:

  • Derive due date schedule from program (indicator DDS (Prog.))

When you set this indicator, the system checks if a due date schedule is assigned to the program:

    • If so, the system uses the due date schedule of the program.
    • If not, the system uses the due date schedule of the contract object. If no due date schedule is assigned to the contract object, the system uses the due date schedule of the contract account.
  • Derive due date schedule from module or event package (indicator DDS SM/SE)

When you set this indicator, the system checks if a due date schedule is assigned to the module or event package:

    • If a due date schedule is assigned to the event package, the system uses this schedule. This also applies if both the event package and module are assigned a due date schedule.
    • If only the module is assigned a due date schedule, the system uses this schedule.
    • If neither the event package nor the module is assigned a due date schedule, the system uses the due date schedule of the contract object. If the contract object is not assigned a due date schedule, the system uses the due date schedule of the contract account.
  • If both of the above indicators are set, the system uses either the due date schedule of the program or of the module/event package depending on which fee calculation object is used for calculation.
  • If none of the above indicators are set, the system uses the due date schedule of the contract object. If the contract object is not assigned a due date schedule, the system uses the due date schedule of the contract account.

Requirements

You have created the required contract object types. You make this setting in Customizing for Campus Management in the IMG activity Maintain Contract Object Types To Be Created Automatically. You can also set these two indicators in this activity.
