In this IMG activity, you set up your due date schedules per fee calculation period.
You can use the due date schedule to distribute payables to individual installments and map the due date of each installment in the system by entering the time limits of a time limit sequence. You can use the time limits to enter specific dates in the academic calendar. Note that the system always uses the start date of the time limit it derives as the due date.
By entering an installment determination method in the due date schedule details, you can define whether the system should determine the installments as a percentage of the total amount or as a fixed amount. If you want to split a payable into installments, you must assign a time limit sequence which contains at at least two time limits.
You can define the following due date schedule exceptions:
- Threshold value
If the amount is below a given threshold value, the system does not determine the due date from the due date schedule but from the time limit assigned to the time limit sequence. When you use this setting, the system does not split small amounts into installments but defines the full amount as due on the date which it derives from the time limit. Here, you can also enter a time interval for postponement of the due date.
- Late registration, booking or cancellation
If registration, booking, or cancellation takes place after the given key date, you can define a due date schedule exception. To define an exception, you specify the calculation object and define the relevant process:
- Registration or booking after a specific key date
- Cancellation (of a registration or booking) after a specific key date
You define the key date using a time limit.
Enter an installment procedure to define how the outstanding payables are due in each case.
