In this IMG activity, you define the condition records in which you set the prices or fees for a specific combination of field values in a condition type.
Requirements
You have defined the required condition types. You make this setting in the Define Condition Types activity of the Pricing Procedures section.
Recommendation
We recommend that you do not change any of the condition records you have already used in the production system as this could lead to inconsistencies in the fee calculation history. Instead you should delimit the validity of the condition records to a date which is after the date on which these condition records were last accessed in the production system.
Activities
- To create condition records, choose the Create Condition Records or Create Condition Records with Reference activity. If you choose the latter activity, you can use existing condition records as a template when you create new ones.
- Choose a condition type and confirm your selection with Enter.
- If there is more than one access for the condition type, you must choose the key combination (i.e. the desired access from the access sequence assigned to the condition type).
- Enter the required field values and relevant prices.
Note: Whether a field appears in the header or fast entry line depends on the field attribute specified in the line field of the condition table.
Example
You have defined that condition table 910 be used for calculation of registration fees, and have assigned this table the following fields:
- Academic year
- Academic session
- Registration status (1 = attending, 2 = non-attending)
- Registration status specification (active/ inactive)
- Student fee category (for example, domestic student/international student)
You map this in the system by defining the following condition records:
Year Acad. Session Status Spec. Category Amount
2005 Winter semester 1 Active Dom.student 100 UNI
2005 Winter semester 1 Active Int.student. 150 UNI
2005 Winter semester 2 Active Dom.student 10 UNI
2005 Winter semester 2 Active Int.student 15 UNI
