In this IMG activity, you define the derivation of the rules for CO account assignments (CO rule) based on the following attributes:
In addition to the CO rule, you can define a fixed organizational unit. You should do this only if the CO rule is assigned a CO rule element and a function module which calls a fixed organizational unit. The SAP standard system contains rule element D (CO assignment based on fixed organizational unit) and function module CMAC_ACC_DERIVE_FIXED_ORG.
When the system calculates fees, it uses the derived CO rule to derive the CO account assignment if it does not find a fixed account assignment for a revenue element.
Requirements
You have processed the following IMG activities:
You have created the required organizational units. You make this setting from the SAP Menu by choosing Campus Management -> Environment -> Organizational Management -> Organizational Plan -> Organization and Staffing -> Create.
Activities
- Choose Create.
- Use input help to choose a period key (fee calculation period) and an account key.
- Choose Continue.
- Assign a CO rule.
- Assign a fixed organizational unit, if required. Take into account the above information on fixed organizational units.
Example
You make the following assignments:
Calculation period Account key CO rule
0401 A01 0001
0401 B01 0002
0402 A01 0001
0402 B01 0002
If the system determines a tuition fee for fee calculation period 0401 and assigns this to account key A01, it will use CO rule 0001 to assign this fee to an account.
