In this IMG activity, you define access sequences. In the next IMG activity, you assign the defined access sequences to the condition types.

The access sequence is a search strategy which the SAP system uses to find the condition records that are valid for a given condition type. An access sequence consists of one or more condition table accesses.

Requirements

You created the condition tables you require for the access sequence in the previous IMG activity.

You have defined the necessary requirements. You make this setting in Customizing for Campus Management under Student Accounting -> Fees -> System Extensions -> Routines for Requirements and Formulas -> Define Pricing Requirements.

Recommendation

When you define your own access sequences, use keys in the customer namespace which begin with the letter Y or Z.

Define each access sequence so that the accesses begin with the special requirements and end with the general requirements.

Do not change the access sequences contained in the SAP standard system.

Activities

  1. Enter a four-character alphanumeric key (beginning with Y or Z) and a description for each required access sequence.
  2. For each access, enter a sequence number and a condition table.
    1. Enter a requirement.
    2. Check if the access is exclusive.
  3. Check the parameters for the condition table fields.
