In this IMG activity, you define condition tables. In a condition table, you define the field combinations for which you can create condition records. You can thus combine all those fields of a condition table which you require to define a specific pricing element (fee, price, surcharge, discount, etc.).
Take into account that condition tables are cross-client.
Requirements
Before you create a new condition table, check if the existing fields of the field catalog satisfy your requirements. If you want to use a specific field to determine prices and this field does not have the intended purpose in the standard system, you must enter this field in the field catalog. You make this entry in Customizing for Campus Management under Student Accounting -> Fees -> Pricing -> System Extensions -> Create New Fields for Conditions.
Recommendation
Find out where to enter the data for the different fields of the field catalog, for example:
- Student master data
- Student file
- Academic calendar
- Academic structure, etc.
Do not change the condition tables contained in the SAP standard system.
Activities
- Create a condition table by entering a three-digit numeric key and confirm your entry with Enter.
You may only use numeric keys between 501 and 999. If you do not make an entry, the system automatically assigns the next sequential number.
- Decide whether you want to create a condition table with or without a validity period.
- From the fields listed in the field catalog, choose the ones you want to use in the condition table by double clicking them.
- Check the name of the condition table.
- Go to the technical view and check attributes such as line fields and text field.
Choose Back (function key F3) to return to the field overview.
- Generate the new condition table.
