In this step, you define the options of a claim plan. Options represent
the claim limit choices an employee can make within a claim plan.

In this step, you simply enter the name of the option. You must define
at least one option per claim plan.

Example

The options for the claim plan differ only by claim limits. For example;

  • Option I has a claim limit of $300
  • Option II has a claim limit of $500

Activities

  1. Identify the separate options within each claim plan.
  2. Select the claim plan that you want to assign options to.
  3. Select the "New entries" function.
  4. Enter a four-character identifier and description for each claim
    plan option.
  5. Save your entries.
  6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 for each claim plan.
