In this step, you define employees claim groupings and set up the employee claim grouping feature.
In the parameter group you can differentiate among employees based on salary and seniority. Here, you can further differentiate among employees based on other employee criteria, such as geographical location, weekly hours, and so on. Only configure this feature if you find that the parameter group does not adequately cover your needs when specifying employee claim limits for various groups of employees.
For further details on this feature, refer to the documentation by selecting the menu path Goto -> Documentation.
Example
The amount an employee may claim against a program varies depending on pay scale structure.
If an employee belongs to pay scale group Admin01 and pay scale level 01, he or she would be eligible for a claim limit of $1000.
If an employee belongs to pay scale group Admin01 and pay scale 02, he or she would be eligible for a claim limit of $1500.
Therefore, there would be two employee claim groupings. The feature would then make decisions for "TRFGR" and "TRFST" in the feature structure. Employees whose information fitted in Admin01 and 01 would be allocated CLG1 and those with information Admin01 and 02 would be allocated employee claim grouping CLG2.
