Use
Thousand Separator
Thousand separators can be used to make large number clearer and easier to understand. A good example might be the number 345566345. The standard method is to use commas: 345,566,345.
Decimal Point Character
In the default setting, the character for displaying the decimal point in numbers with places after the decimal point is set to a period, 45.36 for example.
Field Delimiter for CSV Files
The field delimiter supplies field entries in CSV files with the following:

The field separator in CSV files assigns the field entries for a table to the respective columns.
Activities
Thousand Separator:
Select a separator so that numerical formats can be converted to the BW system format.
Decimal Point Character:
If a comma is used as a decimal point character when displaying decimals (23,44 fo example) you have to specify it here to allow conversion into the BW system format.
Field Delimiter for CSV Files
The default value is ". Example: "Miller,George".
If you enter ; as a field separator, Miller;George is split over two fields. Using the the field delimiter ensures that the entry stays in one field.

A semi-colon ; is used as the default value.
