Use
The role of Web server which was performed by the ITS in release 2.0B is now undertaken by the SAP NetWeaver Application Server (Web AS). As of Release 3.0, you therefore no longer need to use or maintain the Internet Transaction Server (ITS). All Web templates first have to be saved on the BW server. If you have stored Web templates on the ITS and want to continue to use them, you will still need the ITS.

Before you can use Web AS functions, you have to set the relevant profile parameters to configure AS.

Note
Ensure that you use the BW standard client for logging on to the Application Server. The BW standard client is determined using the login/system_client profile parameter. Logging on to the Application Server implicitly takes place in the BW standard client. Alternatively the client can be transferred using the URL parameter &sap-client=<CLIENT>. It is not possible to successfully log on without a BW standard client or without specifying the URL parameter.
