In this activity you can determine the following, independent settings (for systems with releases SAP BW 3.x and lower):
- You can specify a style sheet for all Web templates.
- You can specfiy your own user Web template as the standard Web template for ad-hoc reporting and specify properties for a Web item Web template that you have previously saved in a library in Web application designer for all Web templates. These (reusable) properties include the method for displaying system messages, context menu settings, settings for variables and so on.
Example
Requirements
- You have defined style sheets and stored them in the Mime repository on the BW server.
- You have saved Web template properties as a Web item in a Web application designer library.
Standard settings
The default style sheet Mime/BEx/StyleSheets/BWReports.css is used whenever you call up a Web template that does not already have a different style sheet assigned to it. This is also true of the standard Web template.
In the delivered standard Web template, the template properties used are the default properties visible in the Web application designer.
Recommendation
Activities
To set another style sheet for Web templates, specify the path to the selected style sheet in the Mime repository under Style Sheet.
To set other Web template properties, specify the technical name of the library item where you have saved the Web template properties, under Template Properties.
Further notes
For information on overriding settings such as the style sheet or the Web template properties, see SAP Library -> SAP NetWeaver -> Information Integration -> Business Intelligence -> BI Suite: Business Explorer -> BEx Web -> Web Application Design: BEx Web Application Designer -> Overriding Attributes.
