Use
For BI Integrated Planning, you have to define the following JCo destinations in the Web Dynpro Content Administrator of the Application Server Java:
BI_MODELDATA
BI_METADATA
WD_ALV_MODELDATA_DEST
WD_ALV_METADATA_DEST
The planning modeler in BI Integrated Planning is a Web Dynpro-based application that is installed on the Application Server Java.
Configuration Wizard
As an alternative to manually creating the destination, you can also use the configuration wizard. The portal-based configuration wizard supports automatic configuration of the required settings in the portal and in the BI system. See: Wizard-based configuration.
Requirements
The network services have been configured. For more information, see SAP Note 52959 and the network services documentation.
Standard settings
The Web Dynpro Content Administrator is installed with the Application Server Java and can be launched from the welcome page of the J2EE Engine with the URL http://<host name>:<port number>/webdynpro/welcome by selecting Web Dynpro -> Content Administrator. You can also launch the Web Dynpro Content Administrator in SAP NetWeaver Portal by choosing Content Administration -> Web Dynpro and selecting Web Dynpro Content Administrator.
Activities
- Choose Maintain JCo Destinations. The four JCo destinations already exist but have the status Red. (The JCo destinations appear after the application has been deployed.)
- Choose Create in one of the destinations.
- Define the configuration of the JCo pool for the JCo destination.
- Assign the JCo destination to a J2EE Engine cluster.
- Select the data type for the JCo destination and the corresponding connection type. The BI_METADATA and WD_ALV_METADATA_DEST JCo destinations have the connection type Dictionary Meta Data; BI_MODELDATA and WD_ALV_MODELDATA_DEST have the connection type Application Data.
- Specify the application server or message server.
- Choose the authentication method you want to use to authenticate users. For the BI_METADATA destination, you have to enter user/password as an authentication method.
- Complete the definition by choosing Finish.
