Use

Charts and maps for BW Web Applications are created using the Internet Graphics Server (IGS). This component must be installed and set up before you can execute BW Web Applications that contain charts or maps on the Web.

Charts: In charts, complete interactive navigation (the same as in tables), as well as context information displays are supported using tool tips. Interactive graphics created with templates on the ITS are no longer supported.

Maps: You can also display and evaluate your information in BW Web Applications geographically (in maps). Interactive navigation and the display of information is supported using Tool Tips. Maps that are realized with Web templates on the ITS are no longer supported.

For more information on IGS, see SAP Library -> SAP Web Application Server -> Frontend Services (BC-FES) -> Graphics (BC-FES-GRA) -> SAP Graphics (BC-FES-GRA) -> Internet Graphics Service..

Requirements

BW 3.5 uses the new IGS 6.40. It is therefore necessary to convert your old chart settings (see Upgrade Guide: Converting chart settings after an upgrade to BW 3.5). You have to perform this conversion if you have used charts in BW Web Applications in BW 3.0/3.1/3.2. To convert chart settings after an upgrade to BW 3.5, an IGS 6.40 with "Chart Migrator" has to be installed. For more information on installing an IGS 6.40, see the IGS documentation.
