Use

In this IMG activity, you define influencing factors of the type "number of sales days".

Influencing factors of this type determine the values from factory calendars using the open and closed days. Temporary closures can also be taken into consideration. The number of sales days is made available in a grid ordered by time.

Requirements

Before you can define an influencing factor of the type "number of sales days", you must create the following (related) objects:

  • Location dimension to determine the factory calendar or alternatively (if the factory calendar is valid for all locations) a location-independent factory calendar.
  • Event of the type "closure" (if you want to take this into account) that maps the location closures.
  • If the location dimension for determining the factory calendar is not Shop (0PLANT_SHOP), Store (0PLANT_STORE) or Department store (0PLANT_DSTORE), you must also implement the BAdI /MAP/M_FACTCAL (Determine the factory calendar for the location dimension) for the chosen location dimension.

With influencing factors of the type "number of sales days", you cannot, in principle, choose your mode of action within a forecast model; influencing factors of this type have a normalizing effect. Therefore, you do not need to enter the key figures for the values of the influencing factor or the associated regression coefficient.

Standard settings

SAP delivers one influencing factor of the type "number of sales days":

  • 0RME_SDS (Example Number of Sales Days per Department)

This influencing factor represents a view of the number of sales days per store (location dimension 0PLANT_STORE) in a monthly framework, and closures at store and category level (influencing factor 0RME_PLC) are also taken into account.

This influencing factor is only an example and should not be used productively.
