Use

This section informs you that you can define a currency conversion for your customer HCM queries. You can thus convert key figures with a currency field that have different currencies in the source system into a uniform currency in the BI system. The currency conversion is a standard function of the BI Platform. You have the following currency conversion options available:

  1. Currency Conversion During Transformation

    Data records are converted from the currency of the source to a currency in the target of the transformation. This is usually performed using previously defined currency conversion types.

    For example, in the Human Resources area, this currency conversion is used for the following queries of SAP Enterprise Compensation Management:

    • Results of Compensation Review for Talents (0ECM_MP02_Q0001)
    • Total Compensation for Talents (0ECM_MP03_Q0001)
  2. Currency Conversion in Business Explorer

    This currency conversion has the following options:

    • Currency conversion in the query definition
    • Currency conversion at query runtime

      For example, in the Human Resources area, this currency conversion is used for the following query of SAP Learning Solution:

    • Learning Activities of Talents (0LSO_MP03_Q0001)
