Use

Adobe document services (ADS) are used to print documents in PDF format. These services enable printing of lists in PDF format that are displayed in a Web Dynpro ABAP ALV.

You need to make the following settings:

Requirements

The ADS User is created. This is a user for secure communication with the AS Java that Adobe Document Services iare installed on.

Standard settings

Activities

To configure the Web service destination for communication with Adobe document services, carry out the following steps:

  1. Call SAP NetWeaver Administrator at http://<Server>:<Port>/nwa .

    <Server> is the AS Java that SAP NetWeaver Administrator is installed on, while <Port> is the HTTP port for the AS Java.

  2. Choose SOA Management -> Technical Configuration -> Destination Template Management.
  3. Choose Create Destination.
  4. As theDestination Type select WSIL.
  5. Enter ConfigPort_Document as Destination Name .

    Enter the name exactly as shown here, including upper/lower case.

  6. As URL enter http://<Server>:<Port>/inspection.wsil .

    <Server> is the AS Java that Adobe Document Services is installed on, while <Port> is the HTTP port for the AS Java.

  7. On tab page Security in group Authentification selectHTTP Authentication and User ID/Password (Basic).
  8. Choose Details and enter ADS User as the User ID. Enter the password that you specified when configuring Adobe Document Services for the ADS User and confirm.
  9. Save your entries.

    The destination is now displayed on the initial screen in Destination Template Management.
