Use
You use this activity to create policies in the Information Retention Manager (IRM) which will be used as a framework for subsequent entry of retention rules.
Generally speaking, the IRM is used to store rules for various object types. The rules are structured hierarchically in the IRM: Policy types for the SAP Business are supported which, in turn, contain the corresponding IRM object types. In the Business Suite, the IRM objects are assigned the ADK archiving objects, for example.
The individual rules are stored in policies. Policies are always assigned to a certain policy type (e.g. tax, liability) of a policy category (e.g. residence time rule, retention rule).
