In this section, you define the insurance category to which a policyholder belongs. The insurance category refers to the assignment of a policyholder to a defined employee group. The categories the BVA wants are: active civil servant with life tenure, pensioner, municipality representative, and contractual civil servant.
The assignment is made via feature AVKAT.
Standard settings
The assignment can be made in the decision tree of the feature in accordance with the following hierarchy, for example:
PERSG (employee group)
--> PERSK (employee subgroup)
--> TRFAR (pay scale type)
In the standard system, decision values '1' and '2' are set up in the node for employee group PERSG. For value '2' (pensioner), value 'X' is returned. If the decision value is '1', employee group PERSK differentiates between active civil servants with life tenure 'AR' and contractual civil servants 'AS'. For decision value 'AR' and other decision values 'Other', the feature returns value 'B' for active civil servants with life tenure. In subnode TRFAR (pay scale type), possible values '65' (contractual civil servants, salaried employees) and '66' (contractual civil servants, workers) for decision value 'AS'. The values of pay scale types '65' and '66' are '5' and '1' respectively. If a decision value is missing for TRFAR, value '5' (contractual civil servants, salaried employees) is returned.
