In this step, you define derivation rules for the corresponding derivation procedures.

Requirements

To define derivation rules, you must first define the original flow type and the derived flow types in the step entitled Maintain flow types. You must also maintain the derivation procedure in the step entitled Define derivation procedure beforehand.

Example

You must generate the flows for interest income tax automatically.

Define a derivation procedure such as "ZAST", for example.

Define the following rules:

  • Incoming flow:                incoming flow:
    • Validity MM.DD.YYYY            validity MM.DD.YYYY
    • Flow type 5000                flow type 1800
    • Direction +                    direction -
  • Derived flow:            derived flow:
    • Flow type 1800                Flow type 1801
    • Direction -                    direction -
    • Percentage 30                    percentage 7,5

With this setting, you generate a flow type 1800 (interest income tax) which is 30% of incoming flow type 5000 (nominal interest). In this step, you generate flow type 1801 (reunification tax - Germany) which is 7.5% of outgoing flow 1800 (interest income tax). Alternatively, you can generate flow type 1801 (reunification tax - Germany) at 2.25% from outgoing flow type 5000 (nominal interest).

Activities

  1. Specify the derivation procedure for which you would like to define derivation rules.
  2. Create the derivation rules via New entries.
  3. Specify from when the derivation rules are valid.
  4. Specify the flow type and the direction of the original flow.
  5. Specify which flow type is to be generated as a derived flow.
  6. Specify the direction of the derived flow.
  7. Specify at what ratio (derived flow : original flow), the derived flow is to be generated.
  8. Save your entries.
