In this step you create characteristic groups, which you can then call when defining reports (Create report).
A characteristic group represents a freely-defined combination of characteristics from your RM data area. If you do not use characteristic groups, the system will list all the characteristics in your RM data area when you define a report. The use of characteristic groups simplifies report definition because only the characteristics in the group are listed for you to select from.
Activities
Choose New entries to create a new characteristic group.
Enter a name and a meaningful text for your characteristic group.
Choose Detail and New Entries to define the characteristics for the group. In the Row number field, enter the sequence in which you want the characteristics to be displayed in the characteristics selection screen.
