The due date period (previously referred to as the period block) contains information about the percentage of a position that becomes due after a particular period of time.

Activities

  1. Enter a four-character abbreviation for the due date period.
  2. Enter a short and a long description.
  3. Choose New entries.
  4. Enter a number for each due date step.
  5. Specify the increment for each due date step.
  6. Specify the time unit of the increment for each due date step.
  7. If you want the system to calculate an opportunity interest rate for accounts and variable transactions according to a floating average, then for each due date step specify the subincrement and the time unit of the subincrement.

    Note that this setting applies only for implied due date scenarios without base amounts or definitions of growth.

  8. For each due date step enter the degree of change in percentage.

    If you enter a positive value, then this represents a decrease in the balance; a negative value means the balances increases.

  9. Choose Save.
