In this IMG activity you define the VAT determination indicators and allocate them to corresponding tax on sales/purchases code in the Financial Accounting (FI) component. Unlike the tax code in FI, the VAT determination indicator in IS-U allows you to determine its validity start date.

Example

The tax on sales/purchases changes on a key date during the fiscal year. On that key date, you can allocate a new sales/purchase tax code (FI) to the VAT determination indicator.

Requirements

To define the sales/purchase tax codes (FI) needed for your company choose Financial Accounting -> Financial Accounting Global Settings -> Tax on Sales/Purchases -> Calculation -> Define Tax Codes for Sales and Purchases.
