In this step, you define contract object types for the industry-specific component Public Sector Contract Accounting.
The defined contract object types are assigned to the basic data when contract objects are created. The attributes for an object type specified in Customizing define the master data parameters (header data, contract account data and external/internal number assignment for example) of contract objects. To do this, one of the assignments you make is to a category.
The term 'category' is a synonym for the term 'business partner role' (BP role) in the context of the BDT application object. You can only specify other categories to supplement those delivered with the standard if they are created with the Business Data Toolset (BDT).
Requirements
Number ranges are defined for contract objects.
Standard settings
SAP delivers the following object types as templates:
0001 Property
0002 Income
0003 Child
0004 Car
Activities
- Check and, if necessary, change the contract object type.
- Create new contract object types as required and define their attributes.
