In this step, you run the transfer of external data. This can take place once for the transfer of old data or periodically if your master data is also managed in another system.

Requirements

You must already have defined a Sender Structure and, if necessary, the Transfer Rules. A sequential file with the data records for transfer must also exist on the server

Activities

  1. Enter the program (sender structure) to be used to transfer the data.
  2. Enter the access path of the file to be imported and the access path for the output of a file with an error log.
  3. Enter the server on which the file is stored.
  4. Enter the file type and file format.
  5. Choose the processing steps to be carried out during a program run and how the program run is to be logged.
  6. Choose "Execute".

As a result, you will get a Transfer Log.
