In this activity you maintain templates.
Applications
There are special environments for each application of a template. Before creating a template, choose an environment. This governs, amongst other things, the availability of row and column types in the template you want to create.
SAP Banking Template Construction
A template consists in rows (items) and columns.
- Item "type". Examples are process, sub-template, calculation row
- Item "name"
- "Object". Examples are name of the process, sub-template and calculation row
- "Cumulated quantity" - cumulated quantity for the whole validity period of a single transaction
- "Periodic quantity" - amounts for the current period
- "Cumulated activation" - activation condition for cumulated view
- "Periodic activation" - activation condition for periodic view
Requirements
In order to create a template, you must first have defined your business processes, cost centers, and activity types. If you want to use functions you have defined yourself, you have to have created these in the activity "Maintain environments and function trees". For some functions, you have to maintain, for example, statistical key figures, material master records, a bill of materials, or work plans.
Activities
In order to maintain a template, you must make entries on an initial screen and an overview screen, from which you can branch to different editors.
Initial Screen
- Enter the name of the template that you want to create or change.
- Enter the environment of the template
- Choose Enter
Overview Screen
- Enter a descriptive name for the template (if new)
- Select the row type
- Give the row a descriptive name
- Edit further columns. You access individual columns by clicking on the mouse or using the tab key. By double-clicking on particular column types (object, quantity, activation, allocation events) you can access the editor or function selection.
- When you have created or edited all the rows choose Template -> Save
