In this activity, you set up an organizational plan, which comprises organizational units and their relationships with each other. It also contains linked positions that you can assign to the organizational units and their holders (people, employees or users), and jobs that can be used for describing the positions and to which you can assign the tasks. The organizational plan shows the structure of your company in the SAP System.

Activities

  1. Define a higher-level organizational unit by entering an identifier and a processing period on the initial screen.
  2. Choose Create.
  3. The system displays the Create Organization Structure screen with the organizational unit that you created. To create additional lower-level organizational units in the hierarchy, place your cursor on each lower-level organizational unit and choose Create, then insert as many organizational units as required.
  4. To create the organizational plan with positions and jobs for your organizational units, and to assign any holders (peope, employees, or users), place your cursor on the required organizational unit and choose the Staff Assignments button.
  5. On the Staff Assignment screen, you can enter the required settings.
