Use
In this IMG activity, you define object types for metrics. Each metric needs to be assigned to an object type. The object type determines the business environment in which the metric to be displayed is located. The following entries are mandatory:
- Object Type
A unique ID identifies the object type.
- Name
- Object Manager indicator
This indicator controls how processing is carried out in Metrics Management.
- If the indicator is not selected, the system transfers internal keys and the object type to Metrics Management. The Metrics Management UI component takes control and the metrics are saved in Metrics Management.
- If the indicator is selected, the system transfers the object to the application in which Metrics Management is integrated. The object manager of the relevant application takes control and the application, for example cProject Suite, initiates the saving of the object.
- Object Type of Key Figure
If you use key figures from the key figure monitor, you have to assign an object type of a key figure to each object type of a metric.
Requirements
Standard settings
Do not change the standard settings supplied by SAP. For example, it is only advisable to select the Object Manager indicator for the object type STG Project Charter.
