Use
In this Customizing activity, you define metrics. You have to assign metrics to a metrics group. You can only assign each metric to a single metrics group for each object type. The following entries are mandatory:
- Object Type
Select an object type.
- Metric
Enter a technical name for the metric.
- Metrics Text
Enter a description of the metric.
- Metrics Group
Select a metrics group.
- Name
The system calls the name of the metrics group automatically.
- Currency
You can define default values for a metric.
- Unit of Measure
You can define default values for a metric.
- Changeable Metrics Text
This indicator determines whether the metrics text can be edited on the Metrics Management user interface.
- Changeable Unit
This indicator determines whether the unit of measure can be edited on the Metrics Management user interface.
You can use the Currency and Unit of Measure fields to define default values for a metric.
- Disable Global Metric
This indicator determines whether the metric is enabled globally for all object types throughout the system. If you select the checkbox, the relevant metric is disabled on a global level.
For Portfolio Management, you can enable a metric that has been globally disabled for a particular item type or initiative type by making the corresponding settings in Customizing under Define Portfolio Item Types and Define Initiative Types.
