Use

In this IMG activity, you can change threshold values of a key figure for a certain object type.

If you want the system to define the threshold values for a key figure definition under Display Format and Value Range dynamically for the object type, do not enter any values under Define Key Figure. Instead, implement the BAdI BAdI: Threshold Values forKey Figure Monitor, to generate these values for each object type. You can change individual values later on in this IMG activity.

Requirements

You have already entered a corresponding key figure in the key figure monitor. The system has inserted this key figure with its GUID in this Customizing table.

Standard settings

Activities

Select an object type and a key figure definition. You can change the parameters as follows:

  • Display Format

Enter the Unit and Currency of the key figure and the Number of Decimal Places.

  • Direction and Threshold Values

You specify a value range for each key figure. The value range is defined by a minimum and maximum value, a target value, and threshold values. The system uses these values to determine the status of the key figure.

Example

The direction of the threshold values can be illustrated by a color scale:

  • Positive key figure: Minimum Value -> Red -> Yellow -> Green -> Maximum Value
  • Negative key figure: Minimum Value -> Green -> Yellow -> Red -> Maximum Value
  • Bidirectional key figure: Minimum Value -> Red - > Yellow -> Green -> Yellow -> Red -> Maximum Value

You specify threshold values for each key figure. Once the threshold value is reached, the value of the key figure changes from one color area to the next.

For a positive key figure, the higher the value, the better a key figure is, for example, the number of hours worked.

For a negative key figure, the higher the value, the worse a key figure is, for example, the number of sick days in a specific period of time.

For a bidirectional key figure, the key figure is negative if it deviates too much from the target value in either direction of the scale, for example, the value range for the temperature at which a specific material is stored.

If the temperature sinks too far below a certain value, it is just as critical as exceeding a certain temperature value.
