Use

In this Customizing activity, you maintain the Access Control List (ACL) activity types that are relevant for a particular workflow for a particular object type. All the ACL users having the activity types maintained here receive the workflow notification mentioned here for the object type that is being processed. This mapping determines the recipients of a workflow.

SAP delivers workflows which are triggered during item and decision point processing. For more information, see Define Workflow IDs.

You use this configuration to determine recipients of a particular workflow. The system uses this configuration during workflow processing.

To receive mails sent through workflows, the ACL users must have their e-mail ID maintained in the SAP Portfolio and Project Management back-end system, using transaction SU01.

Requirements

You have maintained workflow IDs by choosing Define Workflow IDs.

Standard settings

Activities

Execute the activity as follows:

  1. In the Object Type column, select the object from the dropdown list. For example, for the workflows delivered by SAP, the object could be RIH Item, EPO Decision Point, or IPO Initiative.
  2. In the Activity column, enter the ACL activity. The supported activities for a particular object type can be selected from the input help.
  3. In the Workflow ID column, select the relevant workflow ID from the dropdown list.
  4. Save your entries.

Example

The above configuration is explained in the following example:

Object Type        Activity        Workflow ID

RIH Item        Write        Item Attribute Change Workflow

EPO Decision Point        Admin        Item Decision Point Attribute Change Workflow

The first entry determines that all ACL users that have Write authorization on RIH Item will receive the workflow Item Attribute Change Workflow (000000000000002) when the event linked to workflow 000000000000002 is triggered.

The second entry determines that all ACL users that have Admin authorization on an item will receive the workflow Item Decision Point Attribute Change Workflow (000000000000004) when the decision point object (EPO) is processed and it triggers the event linked to workflow 000000000000004.
