Use
In this step, you set up business partners for SAP Portfolio and Project Management.
In particular, you need to verify that the following information has been defined:
- Number ranges
- Address types
- Name formats
- Authorizations

Requirements
Standard settings
Activities
When setting up business partners for SAP Portfolio and Project Management, you must proceed as follows:
- Check that the required number ranges have been defined
To do this, go to transaction BUCF.
- Check that the required address types have been defined
To do this, go to transaction BUC1.
- Check that the required name formats have been defined for each country for which you maintain employee data
The default entries are DE (Germany) and US (USA).
The name format is derived from the SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) personal data infotype (IT0002) field Name Format (KNZNM).
To maintain this format in the SAP HCM system, choose SAP Reference IMG -> Personnel Management -> Personnel Administration -> Personal Data -> Name Format.
The default name format is 00.
- Check that the user profiles have the required authorizations for business partner maintenance. To do this, go to transaction BP
The authorization objects checked for business partner maintenance are as follows:
- B_BUPA*
- B_BUPR*
- Check the step Activation Switch for Functions under SAP Business Partner and set the following entries to Active:
BUT000 X Time Dependency BP Central Data (Table BUT000)
BUT020 X Time Dependency BP Addresses
BUT0BK X Time Dependency BP Bank Data
BUT100 X Time Dependency BP Roles
