Use
In this Customizing activity, you can override the default global settings delivered by SAP with your own preferred values.
Requirements
In the previous Customizing activity, you have checked the global settings delivered by SAP.

Number Generation for Object ID or for Item/Initiative Version ID
With this setting, you activate internal number assignment for the IDs of item and initiative versions only, or for all of the following Portfolio Management objects:
- Bucket
- Item, item version, item template
- Initiative, initiative version, initiative template
- Collection
- Review
- What-if scenario
This function also applies when multiple objects are created simultaneously or when objects are imported from Microsoft Excel.
If this setting is inactive, the system generates character keys (Universal Unique Identifiers) for these objects or object versions.
If this setting is active, you specify how to generate the IDs in Customizing activity BAdI: Maintenance Services for Portfolio Management Objects: - Through number assignment using the SAP number assignment functionality
- Through a customer-specific processing logic
This enables you to use readable or meaningful IDs. The IDs generated by the system can be manually overwritten during portfolio maintenance.
Accumulate the Number of Objects in the Dashboard
The bucket dashboard displays the number of items, item templates, initiatives, initiative templates and reviews assigned to a bucket. With this switch, you activate the accumulation of these numbers in the portfolio structure and the classification hierarchy. This means that in the bucket dashboard, you see the number of objects assigned to the current bucket and its subordinate buckets.
If this switch is inactive, the bucket dashboard only displays the number of objects directly assigned to the current bucket.
