Use

In this step, you create the distribution model in the base SAP HCM System and distribute it to the SAP Portfolio and Project Management system.

You must perform this step in the base SAP HCM system.

Activities

  1. In the IDoc Interface / ALE Implementation Guide, choose Modeling and Implementing Business Processes -> Maintain Distribution Model and Distribute Views.
  2. Create a new model view.

    You can use an existing model view, but it may be easier to distribute a new model to the target systems.

    Since the model view is time-dependent, set the start to the beginning of the calendar year or earlier and leave the finish at the system high date (31.12.9999).

  3. Add the message type

    Message Type:

    HRMD_A (HR releases up to and including 4.6C)
    HRMD_ABA (HR releases 4.7 and higher)

    Sender:

    SAP HR system

    Receiver:

    SAP Portfolio and Project Management system

  4. Create the filter

    Expand the model view, double-click the No Filter Set button, and create the following filter settings:

  1. Generate partner profiles.

    Select the model view you created and choose Environment -> Generate Partner Profiles.

    For SAP HCM releases up to and including 4.6C only:

    1. In the Outbound Parmtrs section of the report, change the Version field to a value of 2 (IDoc record types version 3.0/3.1).
    2. Execute the report for generation of partner profiles.
    3. The generation log shows: Generation status of partners, ports, outbound parameters.
  2. Distribute model view.

    1. Select the model view you created and choose Edit -> Model View -> Distribute.
    2. Select the SAP Portfolio and Project Management target system (if not already selected) and continue.
      3. You should now see the model view in the SAP Portfolio and Project Management system.
