Use
Customer includes are added to the structures, so that you can add your own attributes for any object.
To add your own fields, proceed as follows:
- Click on the CI_* include and a new structure will be created with the CI_* prefix.
- Add the fields to the structure (fields of data type "string" are not supported).
Fields added to the CI_* structures are automatically included in the relevant iViews of the Business Package for Projects, Portfolio Management and Design Collaboration (PPMDC), which is the front-end application.
In general, there are two different types of CI_* include, as follows:
- Fields added to the database (these can be filled by maintaining input fields in the corresponding iViews)
- Derived fields filled by implementing ABAP code through implementation of Business Add-Ins (BADIs)
These fields are displayed only in the relevant iViews.
The enhancement category for the CI_* include structures should be "Cannot be enhanced".
All customer fields are part of database tables (direct or indirect), so decide carefully whether to add or to delete fields to or from the CI_* structures.
To implement your own processing with BAdIs, use transaction SE19. Before adding code to the implementation methods, activate the new implementations.
