Use

In this Customizing activity, you determine or define the appropriate HTTP service that can be used in the communication with the external service provider.

Communication from a company network with the outside world takes places by means of an HTTP proxy.

Activities

To maintain the appropriate HTTP service for the communication with SAP Jam, proceed as follows:

  1. Run transaction SICF.
  2. On the Define Services screen, choose Execute (F8) without making further specifications.
  3. On the Maintain service screen, choose Client -> Proxy Settings (Ctrl+F2). The Proxy Configuration for HTTP Client screen appears.
  4. On the HTTPS Protocol tab, in the Host Name and Port fields, enter the default values that the system uses for proxy access.
    You need the values for the Host Name and Port fields later in Customizing activity Define Server Settings.
    Note:
    If you use global defaults, you can leave the Host Name and Port fields empty.
  5. Choose OK.
