Use

Users need authorization roles to run the SAP Fiori launchpad (as an end-user) and the SAP Fiori launchpad designer (as an administrator). Here you assign the necessary authorization roles and adjust them according to your needs.

Requirements

You finished the steps of the customizing activity Service Maintenance of SAP Gateway.
There you created technical service names for each relevant SAP Gateway service and successfully called each of the services.

Standard settings

As template the following authorization roles exit:

  • SAP_UI2_USER_700
  • SAP_UI2_ADMIN_700

The user role contains necessary authorization defaults for running the SAP Fiori launchpad.

The admin role contains necessary authorization defaults for running the SAP Fiori launchpad designer.

Activities

  1. Copy both template roles into your customer namespace.
  2. Add additional authorization default entries in the copied roles for the TADIR services with the following ID:
    1. Program ID: R3TR
    2. Object Type: IWSG
    3. Object Name: <object name>.
      Replace <object name> with the technical service names that you used in the customizing activity Service Maintenance of SAP Gateway.
  3. Generate the authorization profiles in each role.
  4. Assign end-users of the SAP Fiori launchpad to the user role and assign administrators of the SAP Fiori launchpad designer to the admin role.

You assigned the following authorization default entries to the copied roles:
