Use
In this IMG activity, you define the types of securities that you want to use for the "Transit Procedure" service. You need securities in the transit procedure because you are importing duty-unpaid goods into an area of a country or a customs union - either to pay duties at the domestic place of destination or to transfer it to a customs procedure with economic impact, without paying duties. To secure a potential amount due to customs when the goods cross the border, however, you have to deposit a security with the customs authorities.
You can configure settings for receiving securities for transit procedures in electronic communications. This involves configuring the communication parameters for received messages. If you want to use electronic communication, you will have to configure a variety of other settings in Customizing, configure Business Add-Ins, and use custom programs for integration with the communication platform.
Requirements
- You have completed the following IMG activities:
- You have configured the following settings for electronic communication for securities:
- Define Technical Medium for Messages (PFF Actions) of Licenses
- Define Condition/Output Parameter for Communication of Licenses

- You have also implemented the Business Add-Ins for sending and receiving securities and confirmed the integration of the communication platform.
For more information about the electronic communication of securities, see the Configuration Guide for SAP Customs Management.
