Use

In this IMG activity, you activate the document types you want to have included in the sanctioned party list (SPL) checks. You must perform this activity to ensure that SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS) performs the SPL checks on all the customs documents, therefore, guaranteeing that none of the business partners in the documents are blocking further business transactions. You need to make the settings described below so that all your customs documents are checked and blocked, if necessary, in accordance with legal regulations. These settings are especially important if you make changes to the business partner address in the document itself and not in the business partner master data.

You can choose between synchronous and asynchronous SPL screening. The synchronous screening is performed automatically by the system when you create a new document. The asynchronous process allows you to either schedule the screening as a batch job to be executed at a later stage or to execute the screening manually in a dialog. The asynchronous process is particularly advantageous to companies with large numbers of feeder system documents that require the SPL check, as it is not as performance-intensive. It also allows the SPL specialist to override blocked statuses, if necessary.
